Local Achievements

Stephanie has worked tirelessly to deliver the services, infrastructure,and support the community deserves. 

There has been lots of investment in ourcommunity by the NSW Government – making the Drummoyne electorate the bestplace to live, work, and raise a family in New South Wales.

More F3 Parramatta River Ferry Services

An extra seven services each weekday and an extra 26 on weekends have been permanently added to the F3 Parramatta River Ferry route.

Bayview Park Swimming Area

A new swimming site has been delivered. The park is now equipped with:

  • A knetted swimming enclosure
  • Picnic Facilities, and
  • Outdoor Showers

Concord Hospital - New Car Park

The NSW Government is providing $32.4 million for additional parking facilities at Concord Hospital.  
The project includes construction of a new multi-storey car park providing a total of 850 spaces and a street-level carpark providing 300 spaces. 

Westconnex

The Westconnex project has been delivered, meaning commuters can bypass traffic lights and spend less time on the road.  The M8 tunnels opened in 2023 and connect our community to Sydney Airport. On average it takes commuters approximately ’20mins’ to travel from Concord to the airport.

Concord Cancer Centre

A new PET-CT scanner service has been opened at the Concord Cancer Centre at Concord Hospital. The purpose-built PET-CT suite is located in the new Rusty Priest Building and means local residents can access these important services close to home.

Wharf and Station Accessibility Upgrades

Accessibility upgrades have been delivered at all train stations and ferry wharves meaning everyone in our community can access thesepublic transport services.

Accessibility at Wharves:

  • Cabarita Wharf
  • Abbotsford Wharf
  • Chiswick Wharf
  • Drummoyne Wharf

All Train Stations have lifts including:

  • Rhodes Train Station
  • Concord West Station
  • North Strathfield Station

Stage 1 Redevelopment of Concord Hospital

The former NSW Government invested $341 million to begin the redevelopment of Concord Hospital.

The new Rusty Priest Building includes:

  • An aged care and rehabilitation service
  • A comprehensive Cancer Care Centre
  • Australia’s first National Centre for Veterans’Healthcare service
  • Increased inpatient and outpatient capacity
  • More beds
  • Improved access with a dedicated drop-off zone for patients.

Victoria Avenue Public School

The former NSW Government provided $50 million to deliver this new school.

The new school includes:

  • 28 primary classrooms
  • Two special program rooms
  • A library
  • A communal hall
  • A canteen
  • A covered outdoor learning area (COLA)
  • New information and communication technology infrastructure
  • An administration/staff area
  • Student drop-off facilities.

Lucas Gardens School

The former NSW Government provided $17.05 million to deliver this total knockdown and rebuild of Lucas Gardens.

The new school includes:

  • 12 permanent classrooms
  • A program room
  • A library
  • An administration unit
  • Covered outdoor learning areas (COLAs)
  • Student facilities
  • A games court
  • A multi-purpose hall
  • A hydrotherapy pool.

Russell Lea Public School

The former NSW Government redeveloped Russell Lea Public School to serve the growing needs of the student community. The school was upgraded to accommodate up to 600 students.

The new school includes:

  • 24 teaching spaces
  • Covered outdoor learning areas (COLAs)
  • A library
  • A canteen
  • A school administration area
  • A communal hall (which opens out to a multi-functional covered play and assembly area and an outdoor all-weather sports court).

3 Metro West Stations

The Sydney Metro West project is a new fast underground metro line which will link Parramatta to the Sydney CBD. Stations are currently being built at North Strathfield, Burwood North (Concord), and Five Dock in our community. 

This will be a turn up and go service, with a train every 4 minutes in the peak. It will take approximately 10 minutes to travel from Five Dock to the CBD. 

Sydney Metro West’s targeted opening is 2032.

Concord High School Upgrade

I am joining the community to fight hard to deliver an upgrade to Concord High School.  Funding for planning has been committed for the upgrade to deliver new classrooms and modern learning facilities.

St Patrick’s Parish in Mortlake

A Refurbished Parish Hall at St Patrick’s Mortlake has now opened thanks to a $50,000 NSW Government Community Building Partnership Grant.

McIlwaine Park Foreshore Upgrade

The $8.7 million investment in the McIlwaine Park Foreshore Upgrade has been delivered in partnership between the NSW Government and the City of Canada Bay Council.

Charles Heath Reserve Playground

Construction is underway on the $4.7 million upgrade of Charles Heath Reserve in Five Dock, funded in partnership betweenthe NSW Government and the City of Canada Bay Council.

Brett Park Upgrade

Work is progressing on a new playground at Brett Park in Drummoyne.  The upgraded playground will include an adventure play area, accessible equipment, and sensory play incorporating water activities and a sand pit. The project is scheduled to open around April-May 2024 and is delivered in partnership between the NSW Government and the City of Canada Bay Council.
